ご祭神は薩摩藩第11代藩主の島津斉彬公。
照国大明神としてお祀りされています。

妖怪ウォッチの舞台になったことでも有名だそうです。

Terukuni Shrine is located in Terukuni-cho, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture.

The god of worship is Shimazu Nariakira, the 11th lord of the Satsuma clan.
It is enshrined as Terukuni Daimyojin.

It’s also famous for being the setting for Yokai Watch.

There is also a rumor that the mother of Nankai Candies’ Yamachan bought a matchmaking charm at Terukuni Shrine and gave it to Yamachan, which led to his marriage to Yu Aoi.
